ITscope Item Search

The ITscope Search Item is a feature in the Business Central catalog menu that allows users to search for items using various parameters. This document provides an overview of the available search options and how to use them effectively.

Accessing ITscope Search Item​

  1. Navigate to the Catalog Items menu in Business Central.
  2. Look for the ITscope Search Item option and click on it.

Search Options​

The ITscope Search Item feature provides two dropdown options for searching:

1. Search Type​

Choose from the following search types:

  • Free Search Text: Enter any free-text search keyword to find matching items.

  • Vendor Item No: Search by the vendor-specific item number.

  • ITscope-ID/PUID: Search using the ITscope-ID or PUID (Product Unique ID) of the item.

  • EAN (European Article Number): Search using the item's EAN code.

  • Manufacturer Item No: Search by the manufacturer's item number.

2. Search Text​

Enter the item name you want to search for in this field. The search will be performed based on the criteria selected in the "Search Type" dropdown.

Using ITscope Search Item​

  1. Select a search type from the "Search Type" dropdown based on the criteria you want to use.

  2. Enter the relevant information in the "Search Text" field. For example, if you selected "Vendor Item No" as the search type, enter the vendor item number in the search text field.

  3. Click the Search button to initiate the search.

  4. A list of matching items will be displayed based on your search criteria.

The ITscope Search Item feature enhances the catalog search experience in Business Central by providing multiple search criteria options. Users can quickly locate items by entering specific information related to the item they are looking for.
